About Kathleen

~ Accepting new Individual & Couples Clients ~

Hi, I'm Kathleen. I’m a person who believes in feelings. Your feelings. And this human thing can be full of them.

Usually, people come to me with emotions like overwhelm, isolation and invisibility. They say, “I’m afraid I’m a failure,” and “I don’t think I’m doing this right.”

My job is to help you lean into a space of curiosity about your inner landscape. I support your gradual unfolding: learning to metabolize and negotiate feeling states, becoming mindful of the present moment, and locating patterns that you might not even be aware of. I help people understand the nature of attachment, the physiology of pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period, and the ways in which authentic connection nourishes our psyche and promotes growth and long-term healing.

Sitting with me feels like a warm blanket and a hot beverage. I’m here for it … for you. I am compassionate, down-to-earth, empathic, and intuitive. I show up as a trusted companion, drawing out your inner knowing and advocating for your ongoing evolution.

As an intern with Radiant Heart Counseling & Wellness, I am receiving new individual and couples clients. I would be honored to work with you.

I am specifically passionate about supporting women, birthing people, and families through the rites of passage that are pregnancy, birth, and the fourth trimester. My approach is informed by specialized training in postpartum care, menarche and menstrual care, perimenopause, menopause, and maternal mental health including loss and fertility. I support parents of children who are neurodiverse, and am a trained facilitator of the Parenting By Connection method.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University, and am a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I will graduate in the summer of 2022 from Walden University with a MS in Marriage, Couple and Family Counseling.

My writing about motherhood and parenting has been syndicated online by various publications including PopSugar, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Baby Center, Love What Matters, The Huffington Post, and The Today Show Blog.
